This weekend, November 10 and 11, Woods and Books was at the 1stIloilo Mega Book Fair, Festive Walk Mall, Megaworld. We put out children’s books for the book swap.
We also announced our latest literacy project with Book Latte: Li’l Creatures for Li’l Readers. In fact, there were Li’l Creatures at our table, giving Ilonggos a quick peek at the amigurumi dolls and bookmarks created and donated by volunteer Mitch Espinosa.
All proceeds from the sales of the Li’l Creatures will go to the planning and design of our next project, a read-aloud-and-arts program.
Our newest volunteer, Camille, manned our booth. Checking out the display were our oldest volunteer, Art, and our youngest, Akim.
Of course, working tirelessly behind the scenes were volunteers AiAi, Martin, Casi, and Rhemz who put this partnership project together in record time. Great work, team! And, salamat guid, Book Latte!
